PS2 NiGHTS Remake Japan Only

Last month we received word from Famitsu that Sega was planning a rebirth of sorts for Sega Saturn classic NiGHTS: Journey into Dreams — revealing that a PS2 remake of the game was under development. We know it’s coming to Japan, but what about the states? According to game director Takashi Iizuka the answer is no, there are no plans for a worldwide release. Well, at least for the time being.

It is being released in Japan, due to the high demand for the game. So there are no plans for a worldwide release… so far.

Unfortunate, but expected. Perhaps if NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams sells well in the states then they’ll change their minds.
