Rare’s 2008 Christmas card features Banjo and Kazooie and Viva Pinata characters Hudson Horstachio and Fergy Fudgehog all standing around a fireplace. Hanging from the fireplace is a stocking which reads “KI 3.” Yes, an obvious nod to Rare’s well-known Killer Instinct fighting game series.
Why the reference to KI 3? We’re not completely sure. After all, Rare said they were not working on it back in June. It’s more than likely just a subtle tease directed towards fans of the franchise.
At any rate, Rare needs to stop with the teasing and get Banjo-Threeie out.
