Jak and Daxter HD Collection PS3 Bound

Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells announces via the PS Blog that platforming duo Jak and Daxter are poised to make a comeback on PS3 in February 2012 with the arrival of Jak and Daxter Collection.

The collection will comprise all three Jax and Daxter titles from the PS2 era — Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, and Jak 3. Each is receiving the remaster treatment, complete with 720p visuals, stereoscopic 3D support, and trophies. Also promised is “smoother gameplay animation,” which suggests a higher framerate over that of the originals.

Moorpark, California-based Mass Media is handling development duties on the trilogy, supervised by Naughty Dog. The studio was most recently responsible for crafting PlayStation Home spaces. Take a look at the announce trailer below:
