Mass Effect 3 Pre-Orders Exceeding Targets

Pre-orders for Mass Effect 3 are tracking well, with demand surpassing all previous titles to date. EA has told trade site MCV that pre-orders have “broken the targets set,” comparatively placing “well ahead” of ME2.
“TV, cinema, online, print and outdoor activity will help capture the mainstream audience,” noted EA product manager Will Graham.
While EA’s PR stunt of launching weather balloon equipped copies of the game into the the upper atmosphere managed to turn heads, chances are most of the increased interest is coming from the Sony camp. Mass Effect 3 will mark the first time a franchise entry has arrived on PS3 day one.
