E3 2012 is upon us, and already some cool video game news has dropped. Sony’s press conference won’t be for another few hours, but we’ve already got info on a new title courtesy of the PlayStation Blog. Sound Shapes, the upcoming music game from Queasy Games, will be shown off on the show floor at E3 starting tomorrow, but developer Queasy Games has decided to reveal some sweet launch info. For starters, while the game was originally only slated for release on the Vita, it now looks like it will also come to the PlayStation 3.
Gamers who purchase either the Vita or PlayStation 3 version of Sound Shapes will have immediate (and free) access to the other version. Additionally, as is quickly becoming a thing for Vita games, the gameplay will be cross-compatible, and players will be able to switch between Sony’s handheld and home platform at will thanks to the magic of cloud saving. The future!
Sounds Shapes will land on both the Vita and PlayStation 3 on August 7. That’s just about two months away, so if you were looking forward to the game — or you want something cool to play on your Vita and take on the go with you — definitely watch out for this title. I look forward to finally getting some hands-on time with Sound Shapes at E3. Should be a fun time!
