It looks like Sega will continue its Dreamcast revival efforts later this fall, as a listing for Sonic Adventure 2 appeared on the official Xbox site earlier today. The page pegged an October 3 release date on the title. Online leaderboards and support for widescreen resolutions are promised, akin to the XBLA renditions of Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure released in 2010.
Not surprisingly, Microsoft has already pulled the page – just minutes before publishing this. While it’s anyone’s guess as to when Sega will get around to making a formal announcement, we wouldn’t be surprised if a PSN release is on the cards as well, considering previous Dreamcast revivals hit both formats. And, if Sega is feeling generous, we might get a Steam release too.
