Far Cry 3 Now Releasing in December

Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 3 will be launching in North America on December 4. The game was previously planned for a release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in September, but that’s no longer the case. European territories will be getting the game on November 29. That’s just a few days earlier than North America, so I hope no one complains about that. Because seriously, it’s just five days!
“We’re taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience,” said Ubisoft Producer Dan Hay. “Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players.”
I never fault companies when they reveal that their games need some extra development time. See, the thing about delays is that developers are trying to make their games better. Can anyone really fault them for that? I give credit to any company that takes a little extra time to ensure that its product is as polished and complete as possible upon release.
Far Cry 3 looks like a promising entry in the series. Rather than complain about development periods, let’s just look forward to it!
