Rainbow Moon Will Deliver Retro-Inspired RPG Action Next Month

Developer SideQuest Games today announced on the PlayStation Blog that its upcoming RPG, Rainbow Moon, would land on the PlayStation Network in July. Specifically, the game will be available on Sony’s download platform on July 10 for $14.99. Of course, PlayStation 3 gamers who happen to have a PlayStation Plus subscription will get the game at a discounted $11.99.

What really makes Rainbow Moon stand out is its retro tactical RPG look. Already a lot of gamers have compared the look of the game to titles like Final Fantasy Tactics. I’m definitely getting an old school vibe here, and I hope Rainbow Moon harks back to the tactical RPGs of old while still having some interesting modern elements.

SideQuest is currently looking into a Vita version, but the studio has stated that releasing the game on Sony’s handheld will take some time. Here’s hoping Rainbow Moon does get ported to the Vita. Until then, though, if you’re an RPG enthusiast, you should definitely watch out for this one.
