Dead Nation DLC Road of Devastation Gets Free Arcade Mode Update

Last year, the PlayStation Network zombie shooter Dead Nation received its very first DLC. Road of Devastation was a survival game mode that had players entering different rooms, killing the undead, and seeing how long they could survive. It was a nice piece of add-on content that added a little extra to an already great twin-stick shooter.
Now developer Housemarque is adding even more content to Dead Nation. As revealed on the PlayStation Blog, a new Arcade expansion pack is currently available to gamers who own Road of Devastation, and it’s absolutely free of charge.
Arcade mode adds checkpoints to Road of Devastation, ensuring that you’ll get through the onslaught eventually. It’s a nice addition to Dead Nation, and one that should appease folks who just couldn’t survive very long in Road of Devastation (like me). Unlockable concept art awaits those who dare take on different difficulty settings, so there’s certainly some incentive for completionists.
