Metal Gear Solid 4 Trophy Patch Coming This August

by Mike Bendel on July 11, 2012 @ 1:05 pm

If you’ve been looking for a reason to play through Metal Gear Solid 4 again, maybe this will do the trick. Konami announced today that a trophy patch is in development and will arrive this August, to coincide with a budget re-release of the title.

We’re not quite sure what took so long, considering rumors have been swirling for at least 3 years, but it’s great to hear that this patch is finally coming. Not having trophies in one of the PS3′s biggest exclusives never made sense to me, seeing as earlier titles like the original Uncharted received patched-in trophy support a long time ago.

Further details are promised “soon” according to Konami.

Call me crazy but I want to buy this from PSN. Oh and MGS HD collection too. Grumble grumble the PS3 version is on PSN for scej but I doubt scea gets it up on PSN considering that would hinder the Vita version sales..
