Deadpool: The Game Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con

It’s happening, people. Marvel Comics’ chattiest character is getting his own video game courtesy of developer High Moon Studios. Just a short while ago, Deadpool: The Game was announced by Activision at San Diego Comic-Con. Fans of the the merc with a mouth, rejoice!
Details on the game are still unknown at this point, but it looks like Deadpool will feature some gun play and sword action. The game also seems to have a nice sense of humor that fans of the comic books will immediately recognize. That’s awesome news, because I’ve always thought Deadpool was one of the most unique Marvel characters around.
Check out the game’s trailer and see what you think. Console and launch date info is currently under wraps, but we’ll likely get word on that stuff soon enough. Additionally, no word on Hit-Monkey, that other Marvel game High Moon was allegedly working on. Maybe that was all just some trickery to prevent us all from thinking that a Deadpool game might be in the works. Who knows? All I know is that I’m totally stoked for Deadpool!
Also, if Hit-Monkey doesn’t get his own game, will he make a cameo appearance in this upcoming title?
