Lollipop Chainsaw Ships 100,000 in Japan, Celebrates with Party

Japanese publisher Kadokawa Games has announced that Lollipop Chainsaw has crossed 100,000 units shipped in Japan, reports Andriasang. That’s an impressive feat, and it’s great to see the Grasshopper Manufacture-developed action game faring pretty well in the land of the rising sun.
To celebrate the momentous accomplishment, Kadokawa will hold a special summer event in its offices on August 26. The Lollipop Chainsaw Summer Appreciation Festival will be a special invite-only deal, with 200 spots reserved for general attendees.
Grasshopper CEO Suda51 will be at the event, and he will be joined by pro Juliet Starling cosplayers Jessica Nigri and Mayu Kawamoto. The three will take part in a special announcement and reveal some super secret info. Intriguing!
It would be so awesome if a similar event was held here in North America. I won’t be holding my breath, though. Still, it’s great to know that the lovely Jessica Nigri will reprise her role as Juliet Starling.
