Sales figures for the PlayStation Vita in Japan have been revealed, reports Eurogamer. Whether said sales are high or low is kind of subjective, I suppose. Some folks may argue that the handheld isn’t performing that well in the land of the rising sun, while others will say it’s doing just fine. Sony is one of the more positive entities, stating that Vita sales are right on track with the company’s expectations.
So, what are the exact sales figures for the Vita in Japan? Currently, the portable is at 790,633. Games such as Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Disgaea 3 Return, and Ragnarok Odyssey have taken spots on the top 10 best sellers list for the Vita, but among them all stands Persona 4: The Golden at number one. Here’s the full top 10 list, including the sales figures of each title:
- Persona 4: The Golden (188,782)
- Hot Shots Golf 6 (118,985)
- Uncharted: Golden Abyss (89,390)
- Gravity Daze/Rush (74,785)
- Dynasty Warriors Next (74,718)
- Tales of Innocence R (71,463)
- Lord of Apocalypse (69,162)
- Ragnarok Odyssey (65,318)
- Gundam Seed Battle Destiny (55,527)
- Disgaea 3 Return (54,902)
As of March, the Vita has managed to rake in revenue for 1.8 million units sold, and Sony predicts a whopping 16 million combined Vita and PSP sales during the current fiscal year.
