ToeJam & Earl has been lauded by countless Sega Genesis owners as one of the top games on that system. It was a great dungeon crawler with impressive gameplay and plenty of humor. Because of its solid design, it has often been revered as one of the most memorable Sega franchises ever developed.
Now, it looks like ToeJam & Earl and its sequel, ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron, will be landing on the PlayStation Network. According to a source close to Siliconera, the two Genesis classics will be released digitally as part of the Sega Vintage Collection.
It’s great to see popular retro titles like ToeJam & Earl given new life on current hardware. Not only does it give gamers who enjoyed these games back in the day a chance to relive those 16-bit memories, but it also gives folks who missed out on all the buzz a chance to enjoy them, as well.
ToeJam, Earl, we’ll be waiting for ya.
