Darksiders II can easily be considered one of the most anticipated upcoming THQ-published titles. The game is set to follow up the very popular and very successful Darksiders, this time telling a tale starring Death, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Earlier today, THQ launched a trailer for the Vigil Games-developed project, and it serves to further hype up the game. This time around we get roughly two minutes of gameplay footage. It’s epic stuff indeed, with awesome music playing on as we see some cinematic in-game sequences. Death must take on creatures massive and deadly as the fate of mankind rests in the palm of his hand.

Darksiders II is due out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on August 14. Additionally, a Wii U version is also in the works, launching at a later time. If you were a fan of the first game, watch out for it. And if you haven’t even played the first game, go do that now.
