Last month, an ESRB rating for Grand Theft Auto III popped up, indicating that the game would launch on the PlayStation 3. As many expected following that news, Rockstar Games’ revolutionary title has been confirmed for the PlayStation Network.
It should be noted that this won’t be an HD remake with Trophies, online leaderboards, and all the extras that those types of game revivals receive. This will be a straight port of Grand Theft Auto III from the previous console generation. Is that necessarily a bad thing? Absolutely not, because this is still one hell of a game from start to finish.
You won’t have to wait too long to revisit Liberty City. Grand Theft Auto III will bring its iconic brand of urban action-adventure gameplay next week on Tuesday, July 31. It will be priced at $9.99, which isn’t expensive, so don’t go stealing cash from a hooker just to get your hands on this game.
