Some people love Spelunker HD, and others absolutely hate it. If you’re one of the people who loves it, or you think you might love it thus warranting a purchase down the road, you might be interested to know that Tozai Games’ remake of the retro classic is getting some new content next week.
On August 28, a free update will be released for Spelunker HD, and it will fix some camera issues in the game’s online multiplayer component. Additionally, a free DLC pack will add 10 new Championship Mode stages. Ya know, so you can die in the game a couple hundred times … again.
Tozai will release seven additional Championship Mode packs down the road, and these will be priced at $1.99 each. PlayStation Plus members will be able to snag them (and Spelunker HD) for half the price for two weeks following their release.
So, what side are you on? Do you love Spelunker HD? Or do you hate it with every fiber in your body?
