Project Hell Is Techland’s Latest Game

A small team within the Techland studio has started work on its next title. Codenamed Project Hell, the game will feature hack-and-slash gameplay and dark fantasy environments. Though there are only a couple of screens to go by, Project Hell certainly looks quite dreary.

The concept for the game came from a Dead Island weapon mod created by one of that game’s developers. Apparently, the weapon mod was not only a blast to use, but it was quite influential. “It was a proof that chopping monsters frozen by magic spells using two-handed swords is brutally fun and addictive,” stated Project Hell designer Marcin Kruczkiewicz.

While this upcoming action title is still fairly early into development, it’s been confirmed that Project Hell will run on enhanced technology from Dead Island. It’s also going to be bloody. Like, really bloody. Makes sense. I mean, Dead Island was bloody, and I for one am curious to see that amount of gore in a fantasy setting.

Stay tuned for more on Project Hell. We’re sure to get more details as the title continues to go through its development cycle.
