Metal Gear Solid‘s Raiden has just joined the roster of brawling characters in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Gameplay from the upcoming mascot fighter was shown off on GameSpot earlier today, with attention being put on the Metal Gear protagonist’s attacks and techniques.
Raiden is being billed as a tough one-on-one competitor. By focusing on a single opponent, a Raiden player could potentially gather a lot of energy by performing quick combos. He can also dish out crazy aerial combos, which will make him a serious threat. One of Raiden’s supers places all onscreen opponents inside boxes (because Metal Gear), leaving them vulnerable to attacks.
Back in July, an alleged roster and stage leak surfaced on the internet. Raiden was included on the list of characters in the game, so it seems said leak is right on the money thus far. In any case, it’s great to get news of this badass fighter’s addition to the PlayStation All-Stars cast in an official capacity.
