Buy Borderlands 2 Season Pass for $30, Get Four DLC Packs

by David Sanchez on August 31, 2012 @ 12:54 am

Borderlands 2 is getting the ol’ season pass treatment when it launches on September 18. Gamers will be able to shell out $30 and in turn receive four DLC packs. Considering each individual DLC add-on will be priced at $10, you’re probably better off paying the $30 fee right from the get-go if you intend on sticking with Borderlands 2 for a while.

The DLC will launch periodically following the game’s release, and the final content pack is due out sometime in June 2013, reports Destructoid. That should keep players coming back for more every once in a while.

Borderlands 2 will drop in just over two weeks. After the success of the first game, it goes without saying that this is quite the anticipated title. I’ll probably pay up for the season pass, though not right away, of course. I mean, I intend on playing the heck out of Borderlands 2 and then worrying about DLC.

MenaceInc says:

Really not a fan of this whole DLC pass malarky. Turns a $60/£40 game into a $90/£60 game.

David Sanchez says:

You make a good point. But if they're going to release DLC anyway, they might as well offer a discount by selling four content packs for the price of three.

I'll probably wait for a Steam sale on the DLC.
