Confirmed: Quake Wars Developer Closes

Activision today confirmed widespread rumors that its California-based development studio Underground Development – formerly known as Z-Axis – is closing this May.

Most recently responsible for the upcoming PlayStation 3 port of Quake Wars, Underground Development is currently comprised of nearly 45 employees. Activision said it will make efforts to find opportunities for employees affected by the impending closure.
