Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX PS3 Bound

It’s been over a year and Square Enix is still taking its sweet time with getting Final Fantasy X HD out the door, but that hasn’t stopped the company from taking on development of another HD re-release. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX is due out sometime in 2013, according to a Famitsu report.

The title includes an HD rendition of the original PS2 Kingdom Hearts, joined by an enhanced version of Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, hence the “ReMIX” label. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is also included, but not as a fully-featured game, players will only be able to watch HD cutscenes in a theater mode.

Details are scant beyond that. Currently, only a Japanese release has been confirmed – but we would be surprised if this doesn’t make its way over the states at some point.

I haven't played KH1 in almost 10 years and I only played the GBA version of COM. So I will be getting this.

I hope they finish with FFX HD sometime in the next 10 years. It will be extremely disappointing if it took this long and it turns out to be just another crappy simple "change aspect ratio and up the internal resolution to 1280x720" port.

Though, I imagine they are probably having rendering errors with the changed aspect ratio, just as people have been with hacking the PS2 version into widescreen on PCSX2.
