The upcoming Sony-published platforming burglary-fest Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time has been dated for both the PlayStation 3 and Vita. The game will land at retailers and on the PlayStation Network on February 5, as announced on the PlayStation Blog.

Purchasing the game on the PlayStation 3 either through a games retailer or digitally will grant you access to a free PlayStation Network download of the Vita version. That’s definitely great news, and it’s nice to see the cross-buy system being put to good use for potentially awesome titles like Thieves in Time.

Gamers who pre-order the upcoming title will also be rewarded with some free in-game skins. They’re nothing too out of the ordinary, but hey, free digital content that you can use to spruce up your characters is still pretty cool.

If you’re a fan of the Sly series, it goes without saying that you should definitely watch out for Thieves in Time in early 2013.
