You’ll Be Able to Play Darksiders 2 Wii U Directly on the GamePad

When Darksiders 2 launches for the Wii U on November 18 alongside the shiny new console, players will have a couple of control options at their disposal. First and foremost, you’ll be able to play the game directly on the Wii U GamePad, which is one of the features Nintendo was really promoting when it first revealed the platform.

Of course, if you’d rather play on your snazzy big screen TV, you can definitely do so, and the GamePad will offer several different functions such as allowing you to access your inventory or pull off special abilities. But if you’d rather get an experience more akin to the other consoles, you’ll be glad to know that Darksiders 2 will also support the Pro Controller. Yay for options!

DLC is being included in the Wii U version of Darksiders 2. You’ll get the recently released Argul’s Tomb quest DLC, as well as Death Rides, Angel of Death & Shadow of Death, and Deadly Despair add-on content. Not too shabby, eh?

I personally am very exited for the WiiU, I'm so glad Nintendo learned from their mistakes they made with the Wii and are actually giving you even more options with the WiiU than with other consoles, with the Wii you where pretty much stuck using motion control, with the WiiU you can actually use a regular controller, wiimote, or the tablet
