Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja launched Dead or Alive 5 last week to a healthy dose of critical acclaim. The fighter, which puts a lot of emphasis on “fighting entertainment,” delivered a remarkably fresh experience for both longtime fans of the series and newcomers alike. Now it looks like the Dead or Alive 5 faithful are being treated to some free DLC.

Costume Pack 1 includes new outfits for a number of characters in the game. Kokoro, Zack, Helena, Bayman, Gen Fu, Christie, Tina, and Mila are all receiving one new costume to don while duking it out in the 3D fighter. Additionally, cameo characters Akira, Sarah, and Pai from Virtua Fighter have also received some new outfits.

You can download the free DLC today through the Xbox Live Marketplace or PlayStation Network. If you’re looking to spruce up some of the characters’ appearances in Dead or Alive 5, you can do so for no charge. Yay for freebies!
