At just about 11 years running, Pikmin has the distinction of being one of Nintendo’s most entertaining modern franchises. Having launched during the GameCube era, the series garnered a loving fan base almost instantly. That’s why it should come as no surprise that plenty of folks are stoked for the upcoming Pikmin 3 on Wii U.
While we haven’t gotten too much substantial information on the title from Nintendo, a recent edition of Iwata Asks revealed the planned launch window for the game. The strategy title will land sometime in spring 2013, which means it may fall in line for the console’s launch window that runs from November 18 to March of next year.
Other than that vague tidbit of release info, no other news regarding Pikmin 3 was announced. Nintendo is likely waiting to reveal further details following the release of the Wii U next month.
