Reggie Says Third-Party Games Look Better Graphically on the Wii U

Is the Wii U more powerful in terms of graphics compared to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3? According to Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime, it certainly is. Then again, he’s probably supposed to say that, right? Speaking to CNN, the Nintendo boss and internet meme stated, “If you would do a side-by-side comparison, you would actually see that third-party games like Call of Duty look dramatically better on our system.”

Of course, this interview wouldn’t be any fun without the CNN reporter asking the Regginator about Microsoft and Sony’s next systems. When questioned whether or not Nintendo was worried that it may be a generation behind when the next Xbox and PlayStation consoles launch, the Nintendo president said, “In terms of what competition’s going to do in the future, we’ll see.”

It definitely seems as though Nintendo is hoping to stay strong with the Wii U. The system has certainly sold admirably, hitting 400,000 in sales in its first week. I’m not exactly sure if claiming that the Wii U has superior graphics is very wise at this point, though, as various sources have stated that certain games such as Black Ops 2 look superior on the Xbox 360. But I reiterate, he’s probably supposed to say that … right?
