New PS Vita Bundle May or May Not Be a Good Deal

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to snag a Vita, then you’re about a week late because Amazon’s Black Friday bundle was pretty sweet. Now, though, Sony’s releasing a brand new Vita bundle, and while it’s not as enticing as the previous deal, it may still be enough to convince a few individuals that the time to get Sony’s latest portable is now.

The bundle is priced at $299.99 and includes a 3G/WiFi Vita, a Unit 13 download voucher, a one-year PS Plus subscription, and a 4GB memory card. Okay, the 3G Vita model alone costs 300 clams, so you’re already saving some cash. The Plus membership is especially enticing. That said, with this new subscription comes a handful of free downloadable titles. A 4GB memory card isn’t exactly ideal if you plan on taking advantage of the digital freebies. Also, Unit 13 isn’t that great, so there’s that.

Personally, this bundle doesn’t do it for me, but if you’re in need of a Vita and you didn’t get the chance to snag one last week, you might want to consider this. I suppose you can use the $100 the bundle saves you to buy a 32GB memory card. Hmm …
