Hitman HD Trilogy

Square Enix has just announced the development of Hitman HD: Trilogy which was seen yesterday being listed on Amazon. The collection seems to omit the first title in the series, Hitman: Codename 47 but will include remastered versions of the three following it, including Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money.

Hitman HD: Trilogy will debut on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the US on January 29th and Europe on February 1st for a reasonable price of $39.99. Those interested can pick up a Limited Edition of the game at no extra cost (first-run only) that also includes a 22-page art book.

Wish it had the first game...

But it doesn't benefit from the "Run it in 16:9 high resolution and call it a day!" HD "Remaster" approach as well as other newer games.

I just hope they don't crap out by outsourcing it and then not give it enough development time or by giving them old outdated source code or whatever. *cough*Silent Hill*cough* *Cough*ZOEHD*cough* *Cough*DMCHD*Cough*

Yeah I was surprised at the omission of the first one as I felt 1 & 2 were the best Hitman games - and when you think of a trilogy you think that it would include the first three titles of a series...nope, not in this case.

Nice. Only took them a couple of months to announce. ;)

I knew I heard about it before - thanks Neil lol
