The Walking Dead

Today we’ve already talked about a game based on The Walking Dead that doesn’t look very good. Because I love this franchise and don’t want to end my day like that, though, let’s talk about a game based on The Walking Dead that we know for a fact is good. Yes, I’m talking about Telltale Games’ rendition of the popular zombie series.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, the developer revealed that it had sold over 8.5 million episodes of the critically acclaimed adventure series. About 25 percent of that total has been accrued through iOS sales, and Telltale pointed out that the average user revenue for each player is $16.

It’s great to see The Walking Dead faring so well in terms of sales. At 8.5 million episodes sold, that’s roughly $40 million in total. Not too shabby, eh? Oh, and the games even took home a few game of the year awards. Yeah, this turned out all right for Telltale.
