Deep Silver has released some pre-alpha gameplay footage of the upcoming Dead Island: Riptide. The nine minutes of video show off plenty of zombie killin’, and some of the environments are also explored.
From the looks of it, Riptide definitely seems like more Dead Island. In other words, if you dug the first game, you’ll probably want to keep an eye on this one. If you weren’t too into Dead Island the first time around, you may not find a lot to like in this installment.
Riptide will feature plenty of first-person combat, with an emphasis on melee attacks and plenty of firepower and explosive goodness, too. You’ll also be able to ride a boat, which means you can run over zombies in water now, too.
Personally, I enjoyed Dead Island. Sure, it wasn’t perfect, but I thought it was still a good time. What do you think of this Riptide gameplay? Will you be purchasing the game when it launches on April 23?
