The Unfinished Swan

Sony has released PlayStation Network download rankings for January 2013, and it looks like an indie title has once again taken the top spot. In December, thatgamecompany’s Journey was crowned the most downloaded PlayStation Network title. For January, that honor goes to The Unfinished Swan by Giant Sparrow.

The imaginative title beat out a number of worthy games including the aforementioned Journey, Machinarium, and Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. Also on the list were Tokyo Jungle, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and Grand Theft Auto 4, which all have a strong following.

It’s great to see awesome games being downloaded and developers getting some great fan support. No doubt Sony’s 13 for ’13 sale helped push downloads last month, but it certainly also helped that The Unfinished Swan is just a damn good game.

To be fair I think most people bought Ni no Kuni on a disk

Probably especially since the digital version is like 20GB on the US PSN
