PS4 Titles Will Be Playable Via Remote Play on PS Vita

Sony’s newly announced PS4 may be getting the lion’s share of attention right now, but the company had a nugget of information to share for PS Vita owners during its 2013 PlayStation Meeting. Lead system architect on the PlayStation 4, Mark Cerny, revealed that Sony intends to make PS4 titles playable via Remote Play functionality on the Vita. Further, Cerny noted that the “goal” is to make every PS4 title playable on the handheld.
The Remote Play feature has been around since the PSP days and although select PS3 titles were playable through it, Sony never really took advantage of the feature in any meaningful way. It’s great to hear that Sony has laid out a plan to tap connectivity between the Vita and PS4, and hopefully, this is just the beginning.
