Crystal Dynamics: ‘No Plans’ for Single-Player Tomb Raider DLC

If you were hoping for some single-player Tomb Raider expansions down the road, you might be a tad disappointed to know that developer Crystal Dynamics has no intention of releasing story-based DLC for the reboot. During an “Ask Me Anything” on Reddit, Global Brand Director Karl Stewart responded to a question surrounding the matter, explaining that all future DLC for Tomb Raider would be for the game’s multiplayer component.
“There are currently no plans in place for any Single Player expansions,” said Stewart. “All of our DLC is based around the Multiplayer experience for now.”
Some individuals may not be too happy with this decision, but when all was said and done and those credits rolled, Tomb Raider felt complete. It certainly doesn’t need a solo expansion. The next time we see Lara Croft adventuring, she’ll be a lot more confident (and hopefully still as humble as she was in this game), and she’ll be on the brink of a brand new journey.
