At the Gearbox PAX East panel today, Gearbox has revealed that Krieg the Psycho will be the latest Borderlands 2 Vault Hunter add-on. Inspired by the in-game psycho enemies, Krieg lives on the brink of death. Most of Kreig’s skills will benefit from him taking damage and will reward for the high-risk play style. Getting kills will fill up Krieg’s health bar, while inflicting fire damage while on fire yourself will increase your damage.

Krieg’s action skill will allow him to use a more powerful melee attack, as well as throwing his axe. While in his downed state, he also has the ability to self-detonate with dynamite, earning a second wind if he gets a kill with it. Krieg’s play style should suit players who love to run into the middle of the action.

Additionally, the final piece of campaign DLC was announced. The fourth DLC will be their biggest addition yet, larger than any other content pack – from Borderlands and Borderlands 2. A trailer was shown for the pack at the close of the panel which suggested that Tiny Tina may play a major role in the new content.

Krieg will be available in May, while the final campaign DLC should drop in late June.
