PS4 Announcement
Currently, the amount of friends you can add on PSN tops out at exactly 100, but that’s soon to change with the arrival of PS4. At Sony’s GDC presentation, the company announced that it intends to bump up the friends list limit. The info comes courtesy of IGN’s Greg Miller on Twitter.

This is obviously great news for users that often find their friends list full. It also makes a lot of sense as the company made it clear that PS4 is backing social media in a big way during its PlayStation Meeting last month. A demonstration of the Share feature that allows users to broadcast gameplay sessions to large groups of people was evident of this.

It’s not yet clear how the raised allotment will affect other PSN-connected platforms, such as the PS3 and PS Vita. Considering this is mostly a server-side change, it is possible all PSN platforms will enjoy the increased limit, but we’ll see.
