Aliens: Colonial Marines Wii U Scrapped (Probably Not a Bad Thing)
by April 6, 2013 @ 1:36 pm

Sega has confirmed that the Wii U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines has been officially canceled. This is likely to negatively affect absolutely no one as the other versions of that game were considered absolute garbage by most players. So no harm, no foul, right? Well, except for all that harm and foul on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
For some time, folks were wondering when Aliens would appear on the Wii U. The game failed to launch alongside the versions on other consoles, and it eventually missed its expected Q1 release on Nintendo’s current console.
Let’s face it, it’s highly likely that not many people were planning on purchasing Aliens on the Wii U. After the game received tremendous amounts of negative press for failing to deliver a worthwhile sci-fi FPS experience, it was regarded as one of the worst games to launch this year so far. A Wii U port probably wouldn’t have fixed any of that.
