GTA V World Is Five Times Bigger Than Red Dead Redemption

A lot of attention has been put on the fact that Grand Theft Auto V will take place in Los Santos and its surrounding areas. You shouldn’t take that to mean that the in-game world will be small in scale compared to other endeavors from Rockstars Games, though. In fact, a report on Destructoid indicates that the environment of Grand Theft Auto V will be five times the size compared to that of the world in Red Dead Redemption.
To put things into perspective, the size of Los Santos will be much larger than the open worlds from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto IV, and the aforementioned Red Dead Redemption combined. That’s a lot of ground to cover, but there will be plenty of side jobs for you to enjoy. These activities include hunting, vehicle hijacking, and even yoga. Yes, yoga.
Unlike past entries in the franchise, Grand Theft Auto V will feature a fully open world right from the get-go. That means if you want to explore every corner of the map to your heart’s content the moment you begin playing, you’ll be granted that luxury.
