Wolfenstein The New Order

Just one day after being announced, new details were shed regarding Wolfenstein: The New Order. According to publisher Bethesda Softworks and developer MachineGames, the upcoming first-person shooter will not include a multiplayer component and will instead be a strictly single player affair. The two companies confirmed this latest tidbit of information in a statement to GameSpot.

In all honesty, does this news really upset anyone? I mean, sure, there are bound to be a handful of people who would’ve liked another multiplayer FPS, but ultimately, don’t people play Wolfenstein because they like shooting stuff?

The New Order will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and next-gen consoles. We can probably expect a lot more info on the shooter in the weeks to come. With E3 just about a month away, Bethesda will likely reveal some much bigger details right around the time the video game trade show rolls by Los Angeles.
