Next Pac-Man Game Announced, Based on Upcoming TV Show

The next entry in the Pac-Man franchise has been revealed. Titled Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, the game is based on the upcoming TV show of the same name.
Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting this. After the incredible Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, I figured the next game in the series would be more in line with that. Guess that’s not the case after all.
Judging from the trailer, the game appears to be a 3D platformer where Pac-Man can eat ghosts (and a bunch of other stuff) and utilize different abilities. You can check out the clip below.
Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures will be available sometime in the fall 2013 season for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U. Additionally, a 3DS version is also in the works, though it’ll be a side-scrolling game.
