It’s finally happened, people. Earthbound has officially launched on the Wii U Virtual Console. Huzzah! If you’ve been eagerly anticipating this most glorious moment, well, the wait is finally over.
Earthbound follows the exploits of Ness, a seemingly normal kid who gets sucked into some crazy alien stuff. He soon meets three pals that help him along the way throughout the course of this RPG adventure.
This is one of those quirky cult classics that just begs to be played. If you’re a longtime fan, you already know if you’re going to play this on the Wii U. If you’ve yet to play it and want some fun action and weird themes, however, give Earthbound a look-see.
You can purchase the SNES original for $9.99 on the Wii U eShop. I’m actually about to do that myself right now.
