Microsoft continues to attempt to undo all of its fan-angering decisions. After having just announced that indie developers would be able to self-publish content on the Xbox One — scrapping the previous decision to force smaller studios to have a third-party publisher for their games — the company will reportedly allow this practice on the Xbox 360 beginning next month.

According to Polygon, The Pinball Arcade dev FarSight Studios revealed via a newsletter that Microsoft will indeed give indie devs the opportunity to publish their own games on the current Xbox Live Arcade platform.

“Microsoft has just announced that indie developers (like FarSight) can now self-publish on Xbox Live Arcade instead of being required to find publishers for their games,” stated the newsletter from FarSight. “This means we can bring The Pinball Arcade back to the 360 ourselves, and also opens the door to an Xbox One version of The Pinball Arcade in the future!”

Well, that’s certainly great news for developers. Let’s hope it all plays out in a way where everyone can win.
