Killer Is Dead

Sales data for Killer Is Dead suggests that the game isn’t doing incredibly hot in Japan. According to 4Gamer (translated by Destructoid), the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 action game barely managed to hit 17,709 units during its initial launch period. That’s hardly an impressive number of sales.

Surprisingly, Killer Is Dead still managed to sell decently well compared to various previous endeavors from Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda51. In a similar period of time, Killer7, No More Heroes, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, and Shadows of the Damned failed to meet the sales of the latest game from developer.

It should be noted that Suda51’s games aren’t exactly known for being million sellers. Instead, the iconic director and his studio have garnered somewhat of a cult following for their outrageous projects. We’ll have to wait and see how Killer Is Dead fares in North America when it launches on August 27.
