Sega recently announced that it had bought out Shin Megami Tensei studio Atlus after the dev’s parent company Index revealed it was going through hard financial times. Index Digital Media head Naoto Hiraoka released a statement on the matter, expressing excitement in regards to the deal.

“We have nurtured a great relationship with SEGA Inc. for a long time, especially concerning our consumer games business in Japan,” he said. “We are extremely happy to be able to continue with our business, and be able to report this good news to our fans and customers. Again, we would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has supported us.”

As indicated by Destructoid, the acquisition will be finalized on November 1. So until then — and hell, even afterward — let’s try not to get too negative about it. I mean, I understand that there’s reason for concern, but think of your health. Because, ya know, anger’s bad and stuff.
