Super Smash Bros. Wii U Toon Link

It looks like Captain Olimar, Luigi, and Princess Peach now have some more company, as Toon Link was just recently announced for Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U and 3DS. The reveal was made on the Smash Bros. website, which showcases a handful of images where Toon Link is displaying his familiar repertoire of attacks.

Admittedly, I wasn’t really expecting this character to be a part of the game. After it was stated that not every character from previous installments would be present, I figured clone fighters would be no more. I suppose that’s not the case, though. Or who knows? Maybe regular Link will be absent from the new Super Smash Bros. Nah!

It probably makes sense that Toon Link’s in this one. I mean, he did make a return in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, so he’s not an irrelevant character. Besides, in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, he certainly controlled noticeably differently from adult Link, meaning that you got two different experiences from both characters.
