BioShock - Vita - Ken Levine

Back in 2011, Irrational Games’ Ken Levine revealed that BioShock was being rebuilt to launch on the Vita. The news was quite exciting for Vita owners at the time, but it should come as no surprise that folks have been skeptical about the project what with the recent disbandment of Irrational.

Unfortunately, there’s still no word on the status of the game, and it’s currently all up in the air. Speaking to CVG, a 2K Games representative told the outlet that there’s “no update” on the game’s development or if it’s even still a thing.

Previously, Levine was attempting to procure a deal between Sony and Irrational parent company Take-Two. Then he contemplated having an outside studio develop the game. Now that Irrational is no more, the future of BioShock on the Vita appears to be even blurrier.
