MGS V The Phantom Pain

If you’re looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, or PlayStation 3, you’re set. The game’s been long confirmed for those platforms, so there’s no worrying for those particularly fan bases.

Sadly, if you’ve been holding out for a PC announcement, you’re out of luck as nothing’s been confirmed yet. Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s a definite impossibility, as series creator Hideo Kojima revealed that he’d be interested in releasing The Phantom Pain on the PC.

“PC, that’s my original background,” said Kojima in an interview with GameSpot. “I originally created PC games. A long time ago, I didn’t want to rely on platforms to release games, so if people want it, I cannot make a formal announcement, but that is definitely something that I would like to do.”

So there you have it. It’s not a sure thing, but think of it as a sort of consolation prize for the time being. Besides, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance ultimately made it to the PC after launching exclusively for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, so there’s still a glimmer of hope.
