Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain

After revealing at the end of 2013 that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain would be “hundreds of times larger” than Ground Zeroes, series creator Hideo Kojima has followed up on his previous statements.

Specifically, Phantom Pain will be about 200 times bigger than Ground Zeroes. As such, Kojima fears that some players “will start complaining that they can’t clear the game” because it will be “too big to clear.” Well, that’ll at least give folks who get through Ground Zeroes in two hours something to look forward to.

The Phantom Pain has the risk that people won’t be able to finish the story as it will be more than 200 times bigger than Ground Zeroes,” Kojima told IGN. “I cannot disclose the amount of missions, but we’ll have a lot of missions in there.”

In addition to the news surrounding the length of Phantom Pain, Kojima also recently expressed interest in releasing the game on the PC.
