The Last of Us

After months and months of speculation and rumors, it looks like The Last of Us is indeed coming to the PlayStation 4. Aptly titled The Last of Us Remastered, the game is now available for pre-order through the Sony Entertainment Network store page and other outlets for $59.99.

According to a PlayStation Blog post by Naughty Dog, the game is due out for Sony’s newest platform this summer. Aside from the snazzy 1080p resolution, improved visuals, and better effects, Remastered will also include director commentary for the game’s cutscenes.

DLC previously released for The Last of Us will also be included in the remake. That means fans who pick up Remastered will get the Left Behind story DLC, as well as the Abandoned Territories and Reclaimed Territories map packs. In addition, pre-ordering the game will net you some sweet extras including bonus XP, multiplayer skills, and single player perks.

Well, it looks like the wishes of many have been answered! After Naughty Dog fooled so many by saying that The Last of Us would likely never be on the PlayStation 4, and then Sony Eurasia outing the remake’s existence only for SCEE to deny those statements, adopters of Sony’s new console will soon get one of the best titles in recent memory.

Check out the trailer for Remastered below, because you can never get enough hype.
