God of War Collection - PS Vita

Kratos is bringing the dual blade action to the Vita as God of War Collection is available today on Sony’s handheld.

The two-pack includes the first God of War and God of War II, which both launched for the PlayStation 2 quite a few years ago. Oh, don’t worry, they’re both stellar games; though if you’re anything like me, you may be burnt out on the series by now. Still, if you’ve yet to play these games and you own a Vita, by all means see what all the fuss was about.

The two titles are being ported to the Vita with no real upgrades. In fact, they look very PlayStation 2-ish on the system’s screen. That said, a few touch features have been thrown in for good measure. These incorporate gestures for opening chests and doors, as well as for operating environmental weapons like the catapult.

You can purchase God of War Collection on the Vita for $29.99. As specified on the PlayStation Blog, though, downloading the set on the PlayStation Network will get you the PlayStation 3 version of the compilation for free via Cross-Buy.
